Who is responsible for your data

Evenbid is operated by Maurice Johnson, a sole proprietor in Pennsylvania, United States, trading as “Evenbid”. We are the data controller for the information described here, which means we decide why and how it is used. Reach us at johnsonmaurice887@gmail.com.

What we collect

• Account data: your name, work email, company name, role and password hash.
• Project data you upload: subcontractor quotes, scope checklists, leveling adjustments, change orders and the files you attach.
• Usage data: pages visited, features used and error logs, used to fix bugs and improve the product.
• Billing data: handled by our payment processor. We never see or store full card numbers.

Where your data is stored

All customer data is stored in the United States, in encrypted databases and object storage. Data is encrypted in transit with TLS 1.2+ and at rest with AES-256. Backups are encrypted and retained for 30 days.

Who can see it

• People you invite to your company account, limited by the role you assign them.
• A small number of Evenbid staff, only when you ask us for support or when we are investigating a fault, and only with an audited access record.
• Subcontractors never get an account and never see another sub's pricing. They only receive clarification emails you write and approve.
• We do not sell, rent or share your data with advertisers or data brokers, ever.

We also share limited information with the companies that help us run Evenbid: our hosting and database provider, and Paddle.com, our reseller and Merchant of Record, who handles the sale, subscription management, payments, invoicing and sales tax for your purchase. We share data with professional advisers or authorities only where the law requires it. We keep your account and project data for as long as your account is open and for 90 days after you close it, then delete or anonymise it. You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your data at any time, and we will respond within 30 days.

AI and your bid data

Evenbid uses AI to read quotes and pull out prices, inclusions and exclusions. Your documents are processed for your account only. We do not use your bid data, quotes or pricing to train AI models, and our AI providers are contractually barred from training on data we send them. We do not pool your pricing into benchmarks shown to other contractors.

Retention and deletion

Your data stays as long as your account is open. Delete a project and it is removed from active systems immediately and purged from backups within 30 days. Cancel your account and we delete everything within 30 days, or export it for you first on request.

Your rights

You can request a copy of your data, correction of anything inaccurate, or full deletion at any time. Email johnsonmaurice887@gmail.com and we respond within five business days.
